This disease is characterised by calves born with a small or absent cornea.
Other congenital diseases such as microphthalmos, microcoria, heterochromia iridis, microlentia, cataracts, retinal dysplasia, retinal detachment, anterior segment dysgenesis, acorea and proliferation of the anterior neuroectoderm.
Affected calves are usually culled or the diseased eye removed.
